I built an interactive Power BI dashboard to provide a proxy to assess safety of different socialization spots throughout Chicago.

• Chicago’s Open Data portal, connected through an OData feed.

Key features:

• Dropdown filters for Year and Establishment Category

• Total number of Inspections per Year and Total Establishments

• Individual establishments ranked by inspection Pass Rate

• Bar graph featuring total establishments by Inspection Type

• Donut chart breaking down inspection results per establishment

• Breakdown of pass rates by Establishment Risk Level

From the city’s documentation, “Each establishment is categorized as to its risk of adversely affecting the public’s health, with 1 being the highest and 3 the lowest. The frequency of inspection is tied to this risk, with risk 1 establishments inspected most frequently and risk 3 least frequently.”
